Discussion cards to help young people develop strategies to cope with every day, real-life, challenging situations.
There are 30 cards in the set, so simply select a suitable card for a specific session and then participants can suggest possible courses of action, and in doing so, will be able to develop important life skills and strategies.
The cards can be used for one-to-one sessions, giving the participant the opportunity to talk about issues that are important to them and which may be causing problems. Alternatively the cards can be used as group activities in which participants will be able to share their responses and not only learn from others’ suggestions but also actively engage in discussion.
The 30 What Would You Do If…? Dilemmas Cards include:
- You are walking along your street when you see two older boys hitting a smaller boy. They tell you that if you report them, you’ll be next?
- Your best mate has a problem with body odour and everyone makes fun of them behind their back?
- You go to a friends house and he puts on adult DVDs that you know you are not allowed to watch but the friend’s Dad encourages you to?
